Who is an Indigenous Person: Can God Speak My Language?

The first BKI Public lecture has been organized as an inaugural event of the commencement of Postgraduate Diploma in Indigenous Studies (PGDIS) for the Academic year 2024-25. The aim of the lecture is to consider the concept of indigeneity, indigenous and indigenous people and correct some of the misunderstandings and misuse of the term for ethno-centric ideologies and policies with a view to promote peaceful co-existence among all communities. Speakers: Rev Dr Ray Minniecon, an aborigine Anglican pastor in Australia and Fr Dr Peter Haokip, the first Vatican educated Kuki theologians and pioneer of Kukiisation of Christianity from Manipur, India.
