Founder’s Message

Dear friends and well-wishers,

I have the great privilege of greeting you as the Founder and Director of the Bethesda Khankho Institute.

Presuming the value of my traditional worldview was all gone, I devoted the best part of my life in search of ‘knowledge’ in modern education only to realised that the indigenous people also still possess some crucial wisdoms that the world is looking for. In 2019, I took a risk and quit my position in a seminary to initiate Bethesda Khankho Institute as a centre for integrated studies specialized in indigenous studies and it has been such a great experience. The main purpose of this pioneering project was to rediscover indigenous wisdom and integrate it in the creation and promotion of human knowledge including religious knowledge. I am convinced that life will be enriched to the maximum when knowledges which are produced by each context are given the opportunity to contribute. Indigenous wisdom that has been silenced for centuries have to be given the opportunity to contribute for the enrichment of life.

I sincerely hope that you can see the vision and take interest in what we are doing.
